Description

About as grand and glamorous a biscuit box can get, fabulous quality made by the top-notch English silversmiths, Atkin Brothers.

The fabulous frame is highly decorative in silverplate, each side with a Lion supported on a classical fluted column terminating on large Lion's paw feet; the Lions each hold a decorated ring handle.

The box can be removed from the frame, and retains it's original gold finish, beautifully gilded inside and out. The top then decorated ins silverplated mounts and a very English Lion to the top holding a shield shaped cartouche.

Quite fabulous and in excellent condition. The hinged lid measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" and the feet spanning 8 7/8" x 6 1/8" and stands 8 1/2" tall to top of Lion finial. Quite spectacular, you won't see another!
