Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The edges are cross-banded in Tulipwood and the box front and top inlaid with fine quality geometric Tunbridge inlay.

The front has a polished brass escutcheon but alas, no key.
The lid is opened to reveal two lidded compartments, one for Green Tea and one for Black Tea, all retaining their original paper lining.
Excellent condition with a good bright patina. 7" x 4 1/4" x 4" tall.
