Description

A really stunning biscuit box or barrel, made from English silver plate and standing on three original bun feet.

The box is beautifully pierced or reticulated allowing the stunning colour of the rich green glass to show through. The glass is hand-blown with a ground pontil mark to the underside, the glass is without damage.

The underside is marked EPNS (as is the lid) for Electro Plated Nickel Silver with the makers mark in the form of a Bee, which I am unable to identify.

Excellent condition, the base has a diameter measuring 6 5/8" (excluding the feet), the rim diameter measures 6". The barrel stands 8" to the top of the lid finial or 10 1/2" to the top of the handle when upright.
