Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.

The flame mahogany case has a wonderful rich colour and patina and the grain really does shine through, this is complimented by the original silver dial with a contrasting brass ring. The top has the swan neck decoration with a finial in the centre which is typical of this era.

The silver dial is calibrated in inches of mercury and mercury thermometer calibrated in fahrenheit.
It is accurate and in full working order.
It measures 38 inches in height and 8 inches at its widest part.

Delivery within mainland England and Wales is by specialist courier because of the mercury, for deliveries elsewhere please contact us for details.
Overall this is an outstanding barometer in superb condition.
