Good quality & impressive antique Victorian mahogany 'Dickens' desk in nice original condition. This desk has lots of character within the wood & it appears that the leather writing surfaces are original too, so we thought we would leave them as is. All the drawers still have their original locks stamped 'Hobbs London', plus they are finely dovetailed & still have the original solid wood drawer bottoms. The handles too, look original to me. This desk come apart into three sections for easy transportation & the pedestals sit on casters. This desk is free standing, having a polished back, so it looks great from all angles.
