Description

This delightful and quirky cabinet/cupboard is fashioned in beautifully figured honduras mahogany and was used to house various microscopy items including the microscope and boxes of slides.it originally belonged to an entomologist.

The shelves are removable and can be placed anywhere within the height range of the cabinet interior.

An excellent use today would be for the storage of dvds or cds. It lends itself perfectly to this end, however any items including books could be kept within.

The cabinet is of gothic design and sits on small bun feet. The top gives an ideal display area and the original lock is present and fully functional with the bow key.

It is seldom that such a versatile piece of furniture appears with so many uses and such a good 'look'. This will appeal to the antique collector who also requires a 21st century storage facility but the contents being stored in a period setting.
