Atropos Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
It would compliment a collection of jewelery or medals.

The cabinet is veneered with highly figured english walnut which has a beautiful patina and colour. The drawers have easily removable drop in glazed frames and are base lined with a thin layer of cork with paper over.the original discreet side lock is fully functional and retains the original bow key. The bottom drawer has extra depth which will prove useful for larger collectables.

This cabinet is beautifully proportioned and not too large so it will 'fit in' admirably in all domestic or study settings.
Unusual to find in walnut as mahogany is the more common medium.
