A French Toleware Chandelier

1900 - 1920
Description

A painted metal French toleware chandelier circa 1920-1940 with the original ceiling hook, in very good condition.

It has five arms with five big lilies between each arm, and three lilies at the top near the ceiling fitting. The lilies have metal painted stamen inside. It looks brighter in colour in the photographs, in reality, it is softer in colour.

The chandelier has been completely rewired for the UK market and fitted with new replacement candle tubes.

It measures 39cm - not including the chain and ceiling fitting, and it measures approximately 48cm in width.

It is a fine example of tolework and is not damaged.

This is not a modern copy of a toleware light, it is an original.
