A Very Long French Needlework Wall Panel in Gothic Style

Description

A Very Long French Woolwork Wall Hanging, circa 1860-1870, hand worked in various coloured wools with vases of scrolling flowers within oak leaf borders. 47cm wide x 248cm long with a further 12cm fold over at the top. Condition: Colours remain very bright but there are some areas of moth damage to the wools and a rip at the top end at the fold over.
