A George IV Mahogany Cellaret by Gillows

Description

A superb quality George IV Mahogany Cellaret made by Gillows of Lancaster and stamped to the inside edge. The Cellaret being of sarcophagus shape with moulded top. The lid retaining the original lock and hinges lifts up to reveal the original lead lined interior, sectioned into six compartments for holding wine. Wonderful colour and graining throughout, raised on scrolled acanthus carved feet with inset castors.
