Description

Paul Garnier, clockmaker to the King. An early carriage clock by this famous clockmaker. A fully engraved case with a delicate carrying handle. A shutter to the rear door for winding. An enamel dial with trefoil blued steel hands and signed 'Paul Garnier Her Du Roi Paris'. An 8-day duration mechanism, numbered 2212. An outside striking countwheel to the bell. The original lever escapement. Circa 1850.
