Antique 18th Century Carved Oak Tridarn Court Cupboard C1780

Antique 18th Century Georgian Carved Oak Tridarn Court Cupboard and dating from around George 111 c1780. It is unusual now to find the three tiers as very often the top section is missing. It has a carved frieze to the canopy top with oak turnings to each end above three strapwork panels and with the most attractive feature of a walnut and ebony inlay leading to a plank top with carved frieze above two panelled doors with iron strapwork hinges and handles and a carved panel to either side again with walnut and ebony inlay to the edges and with cup & cover turned supports. The base has a moulded edge to the top above a carved frieze and three carved strapwork panels and it stands on stile feet. To one side there are two deep drawers both of which are oak lined with ironwork handles and to the other side there is a deep cupboard with ironwork handle. It has its original hand sawn panelled back and is hand & peg joined.

A lovely original 18th century Tridarn and in very good original condition with a lovely age deepened colour and patination to the oak and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
