18th Century Red Walnut Dressing Chest

Description

A pretty mid-18th century "Virginia" walnut kneehole DRESSING CHEST of good original colour and patina.

Below the solid top, with its moulded edges and "re-entrant" corners, is a long oak-lined drawer, whilst three further small drawers, also oak-lined flank the central kneehole. In the rear of this is a locking central cupboard whilst above is a small 'secret' frieze drawer.

It is supported on original solid red walnut bracket feet, and all the handles, escutcheons and locks are original. 30ins wide.
