Large Victorian Papier Mache Tray

Description

An impressive mid-19th century PAPIER MACHE TRAY, of serpentine shape, in fine condition and beautifully hand-painted with wild flowers and exotic birds, inlaid with mother-of-pearl within an ornate border of gilded scrolls and leaves all around. Good condition and inscribed on the back with its provenance and: "LIVERPOOL".
