Pair of Antique French Carved Walnut Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Good quality pair of antique walnut framed French armchairs, with crisp carvings all over. The frames are in excellent condition & sturdy too. They do need re-upholstering, because the fabric is a bit marked & quite lumpy on the seats. Normally we re-upholster armchairs, but I think you should be able to see their potential because the fabric is neutral, so this way I can keep the price down & you will be able to put on the fabric of your choice. I would date them to around the 1890-1910 period, but they may in fact be older. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the wonderful carving all aver.

We can arrange re-upholstery for you at trade prices.

Width - 28.5, 72 cm

Depth - 21.5", 54 cm

Height - 29.5", 75 cm

Seat height - 15", 38 cm (although this will be altered when re-upholstered)
