Georgian Regency Barometer

19th century
Description

A good quality Georgian Regency London barometer by noted maker John Ronketti. A mahogany case with triple edged banding to the edges. A swan neck pediment with the original gilded finial. A hygrometer, mercury thermometer, 10" main dial and level signed 'J Ronketti 15 Museum St, Bloomsbury'. Fine quality engraving to the silvered dials. Circa 1825.

He is listed in the 'Barometer Maker and Retailers' book by Banfield as working 1820-1844.

Height 47 " / 107 cms
