Description

One of the most decorative and unusual examples I have had in some time, the type we are always on the look out for but come across less and less.

The beautifully engraved and etched glass has a really attractive design and is topped by a silverplated lid with a beautiful Rose engraved continuous garland.

The glass sits in it's own stand with a shaped base and again with a floral and foliate engraved decoration. Standing on three bun feet, the underside reveals the full silversmith's mark for John Gallimore of Sheffield, and dating to around 1880.

Quite stunning and in excellent condition. The base of the stand has a diameter measuring 7", the top has a diameter measuring 5" and the piece stands 6 1/2" tall.
