A Gloucestershire Georgian 'cottage' longcase clock. An oak and mahogany case with marquetry inlays to the trunk door and base panel. Dentil cornice mouldings to the hood with brass capped hood columns.
A date aperture with seconds dial. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

The dial is sgned 'Miles & Marsh, Sodbury'. George Miles is recorded in Dowlers 'Gloucestershire Clock and Watchmakers' book as working in Horton, a village next to sodbury in 1777.
