Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1860s.

Dating to around 1860, this is unusual example with a reverse painted or Eglomise scene to the top and the subject couldn't be better or more desirable. The painted panel is of the Houses of Parliament in London with Big Ben to the far end.

The underside has a series of concentric circles molded into the base acting as a strike for a non-safety match or Vesta.
A superb piece in excellent condition, the base diameter measures 2" and the piece stands 2 5/8" tall.
