A quality ships clock with rarer feature of an enamel dial rather than the normal painted metal. A brass case with bevelled glass to the opening front. Signed to the dial 'J. Sewill, 30, Cornhill, London'. Brass hands and seconds dial. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism.

Joseph Sewill of London is listed as a 'chronometer maker to the Queen of Spain'.
