Description

18th century Dutch silver tobacco box; of oval/navette form with hinged cover and shaped thumbpiece. This handsome piece has reeded borders, plain undecorated sides and foliate engraved decoration to the cover and underside. The engraved pattern is typical of the period and the interior is richly gilded. Of good size, this is a great example.

Dutch. c.1790.
