A Red Walnut Long Case Clock by John Ross of Inveraray

Description

With fine quality, 8 day, five pillar, dead beat movement and the silvered dial features date and second chapter rings and silent/strike lever. The case is also of high quality, rasied on original bracket feet and with fluted columns topped with crisply carved corinathan capitals.The hood also with fluted columns this time with brass capitals to the top and bottom, the sides with fretted panels and the whole topped with a swan neck cornice with carved flowers and turned finial. This clock is a fine time piece and is in extremely good original condition. 2040 mm high, 370 mm wide and 270 mm deep. Circa 1780.
