London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The piece is skillfully crafted and presents superbly with a serpentine break-front and fine burr walnut veneer.

Riding upon a quartet of carved front feet the chest rises with four full width drawers offering excellent storage capability. Moulded detail runs through the canted corners into carved under-support scrolls and into the magnificent shaped top which displays mirror image reversed graining.

The burr walnut drawer fronts are complete with original brass fittings.
Aside from the obvious design execution the quality of the chest is further demonstrated with the robust dovetailing and thickness of the stock used throughout.

The top surface is in lovely order and displays fantastic blond-wood grain.
Overall a very unusual chest in stunning order that will perform as a hugely practical item of furniture and look great in any location.

Certainly a rarity in this configuration and condition.
Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
