The serpentine fall is beautifully veneered in tight burr walnut veneers and with marquetry inlaid detail, which opens to reveal the leather lined writing surface, which can be adjusted to different heights and a further two mahogany lined drawers. The base again is veneered in stunning tight burr walnut veneers and with reeded and spiral turned columns. Both sides having arched shaped panels, the right hand side having a concealed cupboard opening to reveal four mahogany lined drawers. The whole supported on a burr walnut veneered plinth with inset brass and porcelain castor's, English circa 1870
