Description

A stunning quality mahogany Edwardian Period antique combination wardrobe. Both ends having a stepped and moulded cornice with marquetry harebell and swag inlaid detail to the frieze, above rectangular mahogany panelled doors with stunning marquetry inlaid diamond panels and rosewood cross banded detail. The right hand side opens to reveal a brass hanging rail and brass hooks. The left hand door opens to reveal a single shelf and press slides, above two mahogany lined drawers. The central rectangular door with an oval bevelled mirror and enclosing a further brass hanging rail and hooks. The base having a further two large mahogany lined storage drawers, each drawer having their original Sheraton Style cast brass oval backplate handles. The whole raised on a solid mahogany plinth base. Each lock is stamped S,P & B (Shapland & Petter, Barnstaple), the premier cabinet makers of this period. This wardrobe is made from the finest quality choice mahogany throughout. This wardrobe breaks down into four sections for easy transportation, circa 1900-1910

Condition: This wardrobe is in stunning original condition, lightly cleaned and waxed. The interior lining has been replaced in our workshop
