Description

An unusual oak and pollard oak Victorian Period knee hole writing desk. Having a solid oak rectangular top with an inset green gilt and blind tooled leather writing surface. The concealed frieze drawers, with concave moulded drawer fronts and acanthus carved detail to the corners. The pedestals having three graduating mahogany lined drawers with pollard oak drawer fronts and brass aesthetic style handles. The end panels, inside panels and back panels all in pollard oak. The whole supported on an oak veneered plinth with inset castor's circa 1880-1890

Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
