Antique Late 18th Century Figured Mahogany Bureau C1790

Superb Antique Late 18th Century Figured Mahogany Bureau and dating from around 1790 George 111. It has a fall front with brass escutcheon which opens to reveal a lovely interior of dark walnut with small central door with working key and with internal drawer. Above this is a frieze drawer and to either side are four small drawers over four pigeon holes. All of the drawers are oak lined. The base has two short drawers over two long drawers again being oak lined and with later victorian handles. It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.

Measures: 41" high x 29" high to writing surface x 21" deep x 42" wide

A superb quality late George 111 figured mahogany bureau in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality Mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
