Large Antique English Brass Fan Shaped Letter Rack or Holder - Reg. For 1890

Description

A charming and large example of a fan shaped letter holder or stationery rack, most in this form are much smaller, this is a very usable size for the modern day.

Made from sheet brass, the base has an attractive shaped base and the three divisions are beautifully pierced or reticulated with engraved detailing.

What makes this a desirable example is the presence of an English Design Registration number stamped on the back, dating to 1890, a true Victorian piece.

Excellent condition having been professionally re-polished to gleam. The footprint measures 8 3/4" x 4 1/2" and stands 6 1/2" at tallest point (rear panel).
