London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Standing over cabriole legs with gilt metal embellishment this quality sideboard rises to offer twin outer cabinets flanking a central door which opens to reveal a shelf and storage drawer.

Fine quartered walnut veneer throughout and the breakfront serpentine shape add to the desirability of the whole.
The piece displays wonderfully with original lock escutcheons and further gilt metal detailing at the base and top.

The stunning marble top is in excellent order, is generously thick and presents a moulded edge detail.
As shown in the images the cabinet has missing veneer in various areas. The central marquetry is unaffected. Many of the loose pieces are supplied with the cabinet so can be replaced if required.

This sideboard is a classic design and beautiful item of furniture. This large and very functional piece offers both beauty and practicality. The whole piece offers great interest.
The cabinet is solid throughout and aside from the veneer is in good condition.
