Description

Large antique Swedish Neo-Classical desk which I believe dates to around the 1910 period. This desk is large enough to be used as a partners desk, because it's looks the same from both sides & it's in immaculate condition throughout. It has a satin birch top, with more satin birch, rosewood & other inlays all around the front & sides. The base & feet are ebonised. This is a very striking desk, which is unlike anything I have seen before & what's particularly nice is that it looks great from all angles. The neo-classical designs on this piece are magnificent. My colleague bought it over from Sweden & he says it's either Swedish or possibly Russian. There are two cupboards & one drawer on the front. Inside the cupboards are pull out compartments one side & shelves on the other. There is also plenty of kneehole height, because of the very slim middle drawer section. The design of this desk lends itself to traditional or contemporary settings. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the features of this desk.

There are two shelves that go inside the left hand cupboard, which we forgot to put in when we photographed it. One of the last images is of the back of this desk which looks exactly like the front.
