Description

This large inverted breakfront antique mahogany wardrobe compactum is great quality & is a very practicable piece of furniture. It has everything you need in the bedroom, like hanging space, drawers & shelves. It also comes apart into quite a few sections, so transportation & getting it up the stairs won't be any problem. It dates from around the 1830-40's period & is in fabulous original condition, with a great colour, patina & loads of character. There are hanging cupboards with arched panelled doors on either side, plus two more smaller ones in the middle, with shelves inside. Below these is a full set of graduated drawers with original turned bun handles & locks. There is a generous stepped cornice on top & a plinth bases. Everything about this piece is quality, right down to the brass catches. It all sits together without any screws & there are no splits or warps.
