Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Inscribed by the makers Penlington and Batty of Liverpool, with a further plaque inside the door to state it was a wedding present in 1933 (see pictures). The case is made from solid oak and decorated with hand painted trailing floral garlands and various baskets of flowers. The trunk door with block moulded detail and twist spiral columns, the whole supported on splayed bracket feet circa 1933

Dimensions: 67" high x 9.5" deep hood. Dial 8" x 8"
Condition: This clock is in excellent original condition. The movement has been cleaned, overhauled and is guaranteed for twelve months
