William Joseph King ARBSA Born 1857, Oil on Canvas 'Fishing Boats in Moonlight' . A painter in Oil and Watercolour of landscapes and marines. Born at Astley in Worcestershire 30th July 1857, son of William Kings, a farmer and studied art privately. He shortened his name to King. Exhibited at the Royal Birmningham Soceity of Artists from 1885-1943, also at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Cambrian Soceity. He was elected Associate of RBSA in 1898 and lived at Wylde Green, Birmingham and is highly sought after.
