Antique German Wmf and Cut Crystal Biscuit Box - Unusual Oval C.1900

Description

A very stylish heavy cut crystal and silverplate biscuit box or barrel in a most unusual oval shape with a very grand folding handle, standing if required for display.

The fittings and lid are made from silverplate and the collar marked for the very famous and highly collectible WMF (WURTTEMBERGISCHE METALLWARENFABRIK).

Excellent condition with a couple of old usage dings to the collar, and a couple of tiny rough spots around the glass base, all insignificant but mentioned for accuracy.

8 1/2" x 5 1/4" and standing 4 3/4" to top of lid knob or 7 1/2" tall to top of standing handle.
