A Lovely Victorian Silver Vesta.

A lovely silver vesta, hallmarked in the 1880's. This delightful example has rounded corners and is very tactile. The body is engraved with acanthus leaves and the front has the engraved initials WRC in a cartouche. The inside is gilded and the lid retains it's attaching ring for a fob chain or chatelaine.

Condition :- Very good. The lid closes with a pleasing 'snap' and the hinge is strong. The body is free from splits or dents. There are two tiny dimples to the top corner.
