Biography
Founded by Cabinet Maker Francois Hugnet in 1849 in Rue St Antoine and later joined by his son Alexander they went on to establish the House of Hugnet winning medals at the Paris Exhibition of 1889 and became known for making fine furniture in the 18th century style using the finest quality materials and woods. The Company continues on today in the same establishment and the name of Hugnet is now one of Paris's best known furniture houses.

A Superb pair of chests with the Hugnet badge on each chest and in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality Mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
