Description

A very large and impressive Majolica jardiniere on stand. The bowl with cherub handles supported by ''C'' scrolls and foliage with further scrolling foliage to the body and mask decoration. The pedestal in the form of a fluted Corinthian column with acanthus leaves joining a circular base with eagle heads holding swags of different coloured fruit in their beaks. The whole standing on scroll shaped feet. Colours- Duck egg blue, green, brown, red and cream. This spectacular jardiniere would enhance any hotel reception, conservatory or large hall. In good overall condition with 1or 2 minor bumps or bruises. No restoration.
