Description

Good quality mid 19th century chest of 7 drawers veneered in rosewood and retaining a mellow antique patination throughout.

This beautiful antique "semanier" is french and dated to around the 1880's. It bears the label of bedel & co of rue st augustin.

The 7 drawers are really well made, run smoothly and each fitted with it's individual ormolu handled key.the cabriole legs are solid rosewood and beautifully carved.

A blush terracotta veined marble sits atop the chest.

Shown here in top showroom condition having been lightly restored and wax polished, this delightful chest is ready for use.
