A Studded Hide Covered Travelling Trunk, Early 18th Century

Description

An early 18th Century Hide Covered Travelling Trunk with studded decoration and iron strapwork, the domed cover initialled A.L., with side carrying handles and mounted upon a later early 19th Century wooden base with bun feet, the interior is lined with an early 19th Century floral block printed course linen fabric. I estimate the base and the fabric were added to the chest at the same time. 50cm x 107cm x 52cm.
