Description

Exquisitely carved cherry French bed with hand carved swags and garlands depicting grape vines. Deep side rails ensure very sturdy construction.We have never before found a bed with such lovely proportions so all the carving can be seen from the foot end of the bed with the bonus of the foot end not being too high.

Head height 48", foot height 24".

Price includes the restoration in our own workshops which will include sympathetic extending of the side rails so the bed will take a 150 cms x 200 cms long mattress. Antique beds were made shorter 190 cms.

Price includes wood slats.

We can also supply mini box bases 2" with platform top (£225) or 4"with springs (£275)for better mattress support and get into bed height.
