Description

A superb and unusual pair of French Opera Glasses dating to around 1900, late Victorian or Edwardian.

They almost have a look of field glasses, and clad in Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with it's glorious iridescent qualities; even the eye pieces are inset with shell, always a sign of true quality.

Excellent working order for use today at the Opera, Ballet or Theatre, measuring 3 3/4" x 3 1/4" extending to 4 1/2". The glasses come complete with a (new) blue velvet pouch for their protection.
