Antique Italian Walnut Serpentine Breakfront Armoire C1920

Impressive Antique Italian Walnut Serpentine Shaped Breakfront Armoire in the Rococo Style and dating from aorund 1920. Constructed from quality walnut the breakfront centre has a serpentine shaped cornice with ornate gilt cartouche mount to the centre above a deep frieze with fine inlaid stringing and a full length shaped bevelled edge mirror set within a shaped cross cut surround and with ornate gilt handle and original key. Internally it is all hanging with brass rail.

To either side there is a moulded serpentine shaped top with gilt cartouche mount to each end above a deep frieze with fine inlaid stringing and having a shaped and moulded panelled door and the panels being of cross cut walnut with ornate gilt handles and working key. Internally and to one side there is a flight of adjustable shelves ( which could be removed and a hanging rail installed if required) and to the other side there is a brass rail with two small drawers to the base. It stands on lovely cabriole legs with ornate gilt shoe mounts and all joined by a shaped frieze.

The whole separates into six pieces for ease of transporting.

Measures: Centre Section: 100" (8ft 3") high x 26" deep x internal depth 19.5"

Each End: 86" high x 21" deep x internal depth 17"
