Victorian Candle Lit Chandelier

Description

This is an unusual brass candle lit chandelier which is very similar to the Pugin designed lights in the Houses of Parliament. We cannot find a maker's mark on it, but everything about it suggests the Pugin influence. The colour, the style, and the details are very much of that period.

It has 10 candle holders, and all the original chain and ceiling fitting.

The chandelier measures 50cm across and approximately 70-80cm in height, with decorative blue and red patterns around the central band as seen in photographs 2 and 3.

We have made no attempt to have it wired for electricity because we feel it is a collectors piece, but we can give the buyer the name of our electrician and restorer if that is of interest.

Viewing can be arranged in the Surrey area and we can deliver within easy reach of the M25.
