Description

A charming figural open salt made from Silver plate and glass. In the form of a rowing boat, the stand has two integral oars that cross creating the handle.

This unusual piece is lucky enough to have retained it's original molded glass liner and in undamaged condition.

The stand of the frame has a mark for the silversmith, William Briggs and Company of Sheffield.

Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1900, it remains in excellent condition, measuring 5" long x 2" wide x 4 1/2" tall.
