Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The inverted central frieze drawer is flanked by two pedestals of four graduating oak lined drawers with geometric moulded detail and brass tear drop handles, raised on eight turned bun feet. Both the ends and back of this desk have geometric moulded solid oak panels. This desk is stamped Waring & Gillow Ltd but the locks are all stamped Gillows. Gillows of Lancaster merged with Warings to become Waring & Gillow Ltd C1903. This desk must have been made around that time as the use of Gillows locks would indicate. All locks are working and complete with key circa 1900-1905

Dimensions: 54" wide x 29" high x 31" deep (knee hole 23" high x 22" wide)
Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Minor wear to the original leather as you would expect. This desk is in one piece.
