Antique Regency Mahogany Press C1820

Antique Regency Mahogany Press and dating from aorund 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a flared cornice top above a cross banded frieze and with two doors with shaped arched panels and with cross banded edges with original brass escutcheon and working key. Internally there are three mahogany sliding trays which are oak lined and which could be removed a hanging rail fitted if required. To the base there is a moulded edge to the top above two short drawers over two long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with original brass handles and escutcheons. It stands on a deep plinth base and the top separates for ease of transporting.

Measures: 83" high x 21" deep x internal depth (top) 18" x 48" wide

A Superb quality Regency Press and with a lovely deep colour and original patination to the mahogany and in very good condition oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
