This Victorian Papier Mache Stationery Box dates from circa 1870.

It has an attractive curvaceous shape and is well proportioned.

The lock is stamped VR Patent. All is original, even the key.

The condition is good. There are scuffs to two corners and some wear to the polished finish around the keyhole
