Description

Quite wonderful to find complete, it is rare to come across one of these Asprey toast racks but when you do, the burner or hotplate are usually missing, this one comes complete.

An unusual shape too, with a an integral handle made from carved Ebony wood. The circular plate engraved Asprey is removable and would have been heated by the spirit burner below to keep the toast warm.

The frame is also signed A & Co. / Asprey London. There is also an English Design Registration number, 580710 which allows us to date it to 1911.

A superb complete gem in excellent condition from the creme de la creme of luxury retailers. Stands 7" tall.
