Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1870s.
This is where the first of two English design registration diamond can be found for 3rd March 1874, allowing us to date it reasonably accurately; a true nineteenth century gem.

The front has a cut-out holding the cut crystal open salt with matching cutting to the mustard and pepper.
The second of the matching registration lozenges can be found on the back of the parrot.
Beautifully executed and in superb condition; the footprint measuring 5 3/4" x 5" x 5 1/2" tall to top of Parrot.
