This is a large and decorative Cartel clock of Louis XV style.
Original hands are delicately cut from steel and blued.
French 8 day movement is of excellent quality and is complete with original pendulum. It has the superior pin-pallet escapement and strikes half hourly on a bell. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker.
Condition of the case is excellent with a bright and clean finish, some very minor wear on the high spots and some minor tarnish / discolouration in places. Dial is also in excellent condition with some wear and chipping to the lettering on the cartouches - see the pictures below. The clock displays very well as you can see.
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
